Cue overdue update!
A lot has changed. I had to withdraw from college for health reasons. I had to give up drawing for yet more "health reasons", and am trying to get back into it, despite still having, uh, shoulder problems. I have shit to draw, though, so let's get started already, eh?
Forget the list of proposed drawings in the last entry; they're either on hold or will never happen. Currently, this is my project list:
Mute Swan - a "what the hell, why not" commission from leialte. As titled, it's a drawing of a Swan, but, knowing me, I'll make it as surreal and strange as possible. She's even encouraged me to do so!

Why do people like My Snow White Queen so much!! I look at it now and think it's utterly hideous. Anyways, off of my rant...

EDIT: This is great and everything, and DAMN, but... I got curious, and saw.... lol, My Snow White Queen is on the second page for most popular of all time.

I save all of your work--actually, no, I have to force myself not to save hard drive space. I'm seriously in love with your technique, your sense of... surreality you put into nearly everything, AND I love your coloring style. And the detail! I should stop.
I've always been extremely un-involved with the GW fandom, despite being fanatic about it for a decade and then some... Fine time to come out of the woodwork, I know(I'm on LJ too as Hiekomi), but health and RL, to my dismay, end up coming first.
Here's to clinging to the fandom until the bitter end! Honestly, it'll never die for me.

Thanks, hahaha. I"m really glad you like my art: you have no idea how much it means to hear that because I often think that the way I draw is... too weird for people. It's, like, not anime but not American comics either, idk, lol. GW fandom has always been a weird place, and honestly, if it were any other thing, I'd probably have been done with it a long time ago, but I can't help myself. I mean, it's not like I don't do this stuff anyway, so why not put it on the internets, hahaha But word up! To the end!

To the end!I think you'd be surprised--there is definitely a "market" for "weird" (seen those custom Silent Hill My Little Ponies?). --But I know what you mean; I stopped following anime a long time ago almost entirely because I lost appreciation for the art style. It's... been beaten to death, I think. Which is one of the reasons why your work is good; you don't beat the dead horse, you just seem to beat your own damn drum. XD
I don't mind it being a small fandom now, I think. The die-hards stayed, and quality instead of quantity is apparent.
I re-watched the series (I originally watched it when I was, what, 14?) and realized how ridiculously, absurdly awesome (and innuendo-laden) it is, and yeah, no wonder the fandom is so freaking weird.

--But don't be surprised if I end up getting inspiration from your photography, the portraits in particular. If I end up with something though, it'll be almost unrecognizable (I always run off with an idea like a bat out of hell), and I'll credit you for being inspiring. I hope that's ok!
